Apple will launch three 5G supported iPhones in 2020

Multiple rumors dating back months have suggested that Apple will launch a 5G iPhone in 2020, but now a new report says that Apple will release three 5G-ready iPhones in 2020. In this article, we round up the leaks, rumors, and patent activity that point to an imminent 5G iPhone launch, predicting the device’s release date and features. We will also offer information regarding the progress of 5G adoption in the market at large, and the benefits that 5G will offer in the coming time.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who confidently expects all three iPhones to support 5G reported that only 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch iPhone model would support 5G, while the 6.1-inch iPhone XR successor will only support LTE networks. It is possible because apple just acquired Intel’s smartphone modems business for $1 billion. And it has now more resources to develop 5G iPhones.

However, there are reports that Apple is still not ready to switch away from Qualcomm and manufacture its modem Until 2021. We will not see iPhones equipped with Apple’s Modem until 2021, the reports added.

Kuo said that he is expecting the new android phones to support sub-6GHz 5G rather than superfast mmWave 5G. And the reason behind this is the reliability of customer on 5G. The customer thinks that 5G is an important function in 2H20. So if Apple wants to sell more phones at higher prices, it has to develop 5G phones to win competitive market. Apple is pretty much sure that it will succeed as its customers are willing to take more advantage of 5G network, and ultimately, they are ready to pay more for that.
